Collect delivery, additional load, pooling - what's the difference?

Do you think there would be a difference in price if:
a) send from Moscow to St. Petersburg a car with a single box of cargo in the back;
b) send from Moscow to St. Petersburg a car with several boxes from different customers?

We think the answer is obvious - air transportation is not profitable for anyone. There are three options for organizing profitable transportation, which involves several customers: prefabricated delivery, extra load and pooling. Let's find out what is the difference between them. Collective delivery is a delivery in which several companies take part. They collect their goods consolidated (on one site), load them into one transport, which goes to the central warehouse. The transport is usually loaded to the allowable limit, and contracts are concluded separately with each of the shippers. Upon arrival in the city of destination, all shipments arrive at a common warehouse, from where they are already distributed to recipients. The minus of prefabricated delivery is that the transportation time increases: you often have to wait until the transport is fully loaded - especially in unpopular destinations. And also be prepared for the fact that the cargo can be moved a lot and often, because the car will be loaded and unloaded, completing the order in a common warehouse.

Additional loading is a similar mechanism to prefabricated delivery. The difference is that shipments are picked up personally from each shipper. They do not need to be sent to a central warehouse in advance: the system is similar to door-to-door delivery. Another feature is a common contract for all shippers for the transportation service. The fact that each shipper has to search for transportation partners independently and draw up a common contract with them may cause inconvenience here. And if there are many points from which the cargo is picked up and to which it is sent, this can increase the delivery time. Pooling is a modern digital mechanism based on the principles of prefabricated shipping. Shippers come to the online platform of the transportation company, where they choose a convenient flight and arrange transportation. A single tariff applies to all partners of the route, regardless of the number of rented places. Cargoes are collected at the warehouse of the transportation company and delivered directly to the recipients, bypassing the distribution point. As a result, delivery is profitable and fast.
